Embracing a solution that is becoming increasingly familiar as the ‘new normal’, Windmöller & Hölscher is going online to communicate their new technologies and applications directly to their customer base.
The company, which produces machinery and systems for the manufacturing and converting of flexible packaging, is hosting a Virtual Expo 24-25 June, livestreaming the three-hour programme several times on both days to accommodate visitors from different countries and time zones.
The programme features 30-minute machine demonstrations from the W&H Printing Innovation Center. The show will include the Novoflex II flexographic press featuring the new Ruby IoT system for analysing production data, as well as the Heliostar II gravure press. The company will also be offering technical sessions targeting printing issues for flexible packaging and industrial sacks.
For film extruders, the topics discussed will include PE pouch films on the VarexII blown film line with MDO and heavy-duty sack film on the Optimex II FFS blown film line.
While drupa and interpack may be cancelled, communication with the market remains key. “This is an unprecedented and challenging time. And yet the flexible packaging industry is as busy if not busier than ever,” said Peter Steinbeck, managing partner at W&H.
“It’s important that we take this opportunity to communicate with our customers and show them the new technologies and applications that are available now and can help run their production more efficiently.”
