Aiming to address the environmental challenges posed by traditional plastic bottles, Liverpool bottled water brand Win Win Water has announced the launch of its new bottle, made from 100% Luminy PLA sourced from TotalEnergies Corbion. The water inside, sourced from The National Forest UK and Austrian Mountains, is naturally alkaline and high in electrolytes and minerals.
The launch event took place on February 18 at the Baltic Market in Liverpool.
Luminy PLA is made from ethically farmed and sustainably sourced sugarcane ensuring a toxin-free product. The bottles break down within 90 days in commercial composting facilities but, say the company, are durable enough for multiple reuses, offering versatility to consumers.
“Win Win Water was established with a mission to revolutionise the bottled water industry by combining purity, sustainability, and social responsibility,” said Joshua Daley, Sales & Marketing Director at Win Win Water.
“Win Win water is revolutionizing sustainable hydration with natural alkaline electrolyte spring water,” added Derek Atkinson, Sales Vice-President at TotalEnergies Corbion. “More and more water companies are using PLA bottles, contributing to end plastic pollution due to the recyclable and compostable nature of Luminy PLA bioplastics.”
