A new webinar will be hosted by Polymer Comply Europe on 10 June to introduce and discuss the Circular Economy Action Plan, a key component of the European Green Deal, and its implications for the plastics industry.
The new Plan focuses on the design and production for a circular economy, with the aim of ensuring that the resources used are kept in the EU economy for as long as possible. Sustainable products are to become the norm.
The focus will be on the sectors that use the most resources and where the potential for circularity is high, such as packaging and plastics. PCE is organising the webinar on behalf of European Plastics Converters (EuPC) and PET Sheet Europe.
Under the title, The European Green Deal: Circular Economy Action Plan - Guideline for European Plastics Converters, a number of environmental experts from the European Commission will review the upcoming challenges facing the European plastics industry in relation to the implementation of the plan.
Members of the plastics value chain, regulatory affairs managers, state regulators, consultants, service providers, NGOs and scientists are invited to participate 10 June, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. CET.
Questions for discussion may be submitted in advance, until 8 June, 12:00 CET. A fee of EUR 100 (plus VAT) applies per participant. The webinar is free for EuPC members.
