Stuart Stockley has been tapped by Veka Recycling Ltd. as the new managing director of the Wellingborough, UK-based PVC post-consumer frame recycler.
Stockley brings to his new role ample experiencee in business leadership within the building and construction products sector. He previously headed the manufacturing and merchanting operations at various brands, including wall and roofing components manufacturer Klöber Group, insulation distributors CCF; and served as the head of sustainable products for the UK’s largest builders’ merchant, Travis Perkins.
His interest in the role was piqued by the fact that Veka was a recycler of PVC-U, particularly by the proposition of the commercial and social potential of collecting and returning the material for re-use over many cycles.
Completed at the end of 2020, VEKA Recycling’s Wellingborough plant is the most advanced of its kind in Europe. Here, the company processes PVC-U into high-quality recycled PVC-U pellet. This material is now used in the production of new window and door profiles, in addition to established high volume users including products for the electrical and HVAC industries.
The site was located within central England to reduce the carbon footprint of the recycling process by containing the material recycled and then re-manufactured within the geographical borders of the UK. It is the third to be built by Veka Group, the others being located in France and Germany.
