Vegware, a specialist in plant-based compostable food service ware with headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland, has introduced a new range of sandwich boxes and other takeaway food containers.
Billed as ‘premium boxes’, the products are made from sustainably-sourced board which are fully lined with renewable PLA. This is a plastic type made from polylactic acid sourced from renewable biomass.
The sandwich packaging further uses a clear PLA front window.
The product design allows easy assembly. The wedges front load and the boxes have a side closure.
Other products in the range include soup containers, napkins, and hot and cold cups. All are commercially compostable, where accepted.
