With the Coronavirus pandemic ruling out events, both small and large, Vecoplan decided to try something different.
The company organised what it called its 360-degree days, at which it presented its new products and solutions, inviting participants from around the world for a virtual visit to its modern technology centre in Bad Marienberg.
It was a new experience for the presenters, who are used to feedback from the audience. Now, there was none.
Cathrine Rekett, Head of Application Technology Recycling | Waste at Vecoplan: “So you don't know if anyone is watching at all.”
That fear proved to be unfounded. Over the three days of the event, which featured all live demonstrations, some 400 attendees joined.
The presentations were in German and English on topics such as sustainable waste treatment, alternative fuel handling, plastic recycling and modern shredding solutions.
The successful event closed with a live demonstration its new Vecoplan Infinity shredder, showing, as the company said, ‘what efficient shredding looks like in practice’.
The good response is confirmation that the company struck a chord with the initiative. “It shows we are in tune with the times," said Martina Schmidt, head of the Recycling I Waste division. "We will stick to this concept and expand it."
