Bredaryd, Sweden — With the bulk of trade shows canceled or postponed for 2020, Rapid Granulator AB is making equipment it would have used at displays available for companies producing parts used in the fight against the coronavirus.
"In the COVID-19 pandemic, safety equipment is vital and unfortunately not available in sufficient quantities, by offering these rental machines we see that it makes a difference for our customers in their efforts to provide as much equipment as possible to the health care in societies." Anders Mårtensson, sales and marketing director for Bredaryd-based Rapid.
Rapid, which makes equipment used to reprocess scrap, already had been providing "several rental machines" for free to customers in the medical industry making parts such as face shields and respirators, Mårtensson said in an April 7 news release.
With the trade show exhibition schedule expected to be impacted throughout the year, the company has now decided to release even more machines to the medical sector as it faces requests for more support, he said.
