Last year, EcoBlue, a recycler of post-consumer and post-industrial polyolefins and PET based in Rayong, Thailand, announced plans to construct a second facility in order to be able to better accommodate the rising demand from the market.
According to the company, construction of the new facility is progressing on schedule and is projected to be completed later this year.
The facility will be equipped with new machinery from Starlinger and Tomra, and include de-odourisation technology for the recycling of HDPE and PP. EcoBlue is also investing in 3D pure filtration technology for high-end applications such as PET film & filament yarn.
Moreover, as Thailand’s first recycling company to be granted a Letter of No Objection by the US FDA for its 3D Pure rPET for Bottle and PET Film manufacturing, the new facility, will also produce high-quality food grade rPET made from 100% PCR waste.
