Syensqo will make its debut at Fakuma 2024, bringing a wide range of high-performance and sustainable solutions for the automotive, consumer goods, healthcare, and construction sectors. Formerly part of Solvay, Syensqo will showcase innovations that address critical industry challenges, from enhancing electric mobility to advancing circularity in materials.
“At Syensqo, our commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainability remains steadfast as we embark on this new chapter,” said Georges Houtappel, vice president of transportation at Syensqo. “We aim to support our partners in creating a safer and more sustainable future.”
One of the highlights at Fakuma will be Syensqo’s materials designed for electric vehicle applications, including Amodel PPA AE-8945 HFFR, a flame-retardant polyphthalamide ideal for high-voltage battery pyrofuses, and Ryton PPS R-3-410 BL LZT, a polyphenylene sulfide resin that facilitates laser welding and recycling in electric actuator housings. Another innovation is Ajedium PEEK film, which enhances the efficiency of electric motors, allowing for more sustainable electric powertrains by improving heat dissipation and downsizing designs.
In addition to these high-performance materials, Syensqo is expanding its ECHO portfolio, a line of sustainable solutions featuring bio-based, recycled, and mass balance-certified raw materials. This includes the world’s first ISCC Plus mass balance-certified polysulfone resins and new Omnix ECHO grades, with recycled content aimed at the consumer goods and household appliances markets. Syensqo’s bio-based Kalix 2000 Series, with 41% bio-based content, also stands out, offering exceptional structural integrity and aesthetics for smart device applications.
Sustainability is a core focus for Syensqo, with recent collaborations in the sports equipment sector demonstrating the effectiveness of their high-performance materials. Partnerships with bicycle manufacturers like Trek and Ultima Mobility showcase the potential to reduce carbon footprints without compromising performance through the use of recycled polyamide compounds.
Beyond its core material offerings, Syensqo will also highlight its CYASORB and CYASORB CYNERGY SOLUTIONS stabilizers, designed to enhance the durability of polymer components in a wide range of industries, from automotive to agriculture, while ensuring compliance with upcoming regulatory standards.
Fakuma attendees can learn more at Syensqo’s live presentation on October 18, led by marketing managers Ysée Genot and Ricardo Calumby, who will present ‘Top-Notch Circular Polymers: Experience Uncompromised Performance with Syensqo’, at 09:40 CET in room Berlin.
