Nolan Strall, president of KraussMaffei Corp. (KMC) in Florence, Ky., is stepping down and will turn the helm over to Brett Greenhalgh starting Sept. 1.
Strall is pursuing a new professional challenge and leaving at his own request, according to a news release from parent company, KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH (KMT) in Parsdorf, Germany.
KraussMaffei builds machinery and systems for producing and processing plastics and rubber.
During the next few weeks, Strall will hand over the U.S. business to Greenhalgh, who is currently vice president of administration and finance.
Strall had served as vice president of operations and service for two years before being named KMC president in 2022.
During his time at the company, Strall made a decisive contribution to KraussMaffei's growth in the American market, according to Jörg Stech, KMT managing director.
"I would like to thank Nolan Strall for his great commitment and performance. He has significantly strengthened our position in the U.S. market, given us access to new industries and achieved great financial success," Stech said in a news release. "Nolan has strategically built up his U.S. team, supported and inspired them to achieve top performance so that we can seamlessly build on KMC's successes. We wish him all the best for his professional and personal future."
Company officials said Strall strengthened the company's service business and opened up new industries and customer groups for KraussMaffei, particularly in the aerospace sector. He also initiated joint research projects with Clemson University in South Carolina, the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University and the University of Dayton Research Institute.
Strall said it was an honor to support the North American team strategically and operationally as KMC president.
"I would like to thank all my colleagues for this special time, the excellent collaboration, and the privilege of leading our U.S. team through the last five years," Strall said. "In Florence, we have built a great team of leaders. Together, we have restructured our business to a customer and technology first focus, opened up new markets and have provided our industry with innovative solutions and the best service, even in very difficult years."
Strall wraps up his stint at KMC on Aug. 31. No information was released yet about his next professional role.
