Germany-based manufacturer and supplier of innovative measuring, control, inspection and sorting technology Sikora has appointed Dr. Jörg Wissdorf as new member of the executive board, effective 1 March.
He succeeds Harry Prunk, who will retire in a few months after 45 years with the company. According to the announcement, the company wished to ensure a smooth transition, which led to the decision ‘to approach the succession at an early stage’ said Thomas Sikora, chairman of the supervisory board of Sikora AG.
Jörg Wissdorf will assume responsibility for Sales, Marketing and Service following a transition period with Prunk. His focus will be to further “bring the specific advantages of SIKORA onto the markets”, in order to consolidate and expand the company’s presence in the global market.
Prior to his appointment, Wissdorf, an aerospace engineer, held leading positions in Sales and Marketing and as well serving as managing director of national and international companies.
