Reifenhäuser announces notable leadership changes

Reifenhäuser Group, the plastics extrusion technology specialists based in Troisdorf, Germany, have announced important leadership changes focused on ensuring that the family-owned company will continue to succeed well into the future. The new appointments underline the company’s aim to further progress the previously initiated generational transition in its management structure.

The changes also mark the departure of one of the more iconic figures in the plastics industry. Ulrich Reifenhäuser, who served as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of the Reifenhäuser Group for over 25 years, has now stepped down, while Marcel Perrevort (46) has been named CSO in his place as of the same date. As CSO, Marcel Perrevort is primarily responsible for the Group's sales and service strategy and its alignment with the activities of the business units.

Perrevort said one focus will be the ‘further expansion of our international sales and service units, which will enable us to become even more customer-centric in the market'.
Marcel Perrevort has held various sales and management positions within the Reifenhäuser Group for over ten years - most recently as one of the two managing directors of Reifenhäuser Blown Film. Stepping into his shoes is Eugen Friedel (42), who will now, together with Andreas Neuss, act as managing director of the Reifenhäuser Blown Film business unit. Friedel holds a degree in business administration and has been with Reifenhäuser Blown Film for over 25 years, fulfilling various roles, most recently that of Sales Director. CEO Bernd Reifenhäuser emphasised that Friedel was eminently qualified to take on his new role.

As is Marcel Perrevort. According to Ulrich Reifenhäuser, he ‘knows the business like the back of his hand’. “Knowing that I am passing the position on to a competent person makes it very easy for me."

Ulrich Reifenhäuser will continue his work in associations and committees within the plastics industry and will remain at the disposal of the Reifenhäuser Group as a representative and consultant with adjusted work hours.
