The groundbreaking ceremony for Regloplas’ new factory marked the official start of the company’s expansion project. “Our planned Smart Factory will now become a reality,” said Christian Eckert, CEO at Regloplas.
With a healthy balance sheet due to surging demand for the Swiss company’s temperature control units, it has grown out of its present facilities. In particular, said the company, the production and logistics department are bursting at the seams. This means that ‘even in Corona times’, Regloplas must continue to ‘pursue its plans for the future’.
A new six-storey building will therefore be built just a short distance from the previous facility. With 2500 m2 floor space available per storey, the design will be open, modern and environmentally friendly. Solar panels on the rooftop will enable the company to produce as much of the process energy consumption as possible in house.
Construction on the new building has already commenced. Completion of the final construction phase is planned for the start of 2022.
