PlastiVation Machinery has unveiled a new generation of its Tederic Neo series of injection moulding machines, the electric toggle NEO-E60/e110.
The Munich-based company promises to offer the technology of a German machine at the price tag of China. It was founded in 2021 by industry expert Bengt Schmidt, formerly of KraussMaffei, with a focus from the get-go on electric machines and digitalisation. For the base, PlastiVation has partnered with Chinese injection moulding machinery company Tederic, founded in Hangzhou in 2003 and now one of the three leading Chinese injection moulding machine manufacturers. PlastiVation is responsible for the engineering, incorporating all the latest European technology.
Following the launch of the second generation of Tederic Neo machines at Fakuma 2023, PlastiVation will now present the NEO-E60/e110 at Kuteno, a plastic processing tradeshow taking place on May 14 to 16 in Germany.
The company says the new machine offers plastics processors numerous advantages, including higher clamping force sizes (up to 5,500 t), optimised tie bar spacing, optimised platen dimensions for larger moulds, more combination options in terms of clamping unit/injection unit, and improved machine control. It has a clamping force of 60 t and a screw diameter of 25 mm. The shot weight is 9.6 grams, and the cycle time is around 25 seconds.
"With the technology upgrade, the Tederic 'NEO series' is now technologically on a par with European injection moulding machine manufacturers,” Schmidt said in a statement. “Especially in the current challenging times, this represents an economically attractive investment and production solution for plastics processors, with which plastic products can be produced efficiently and to a high quality and productivity can be increased,” he concluded.
