Cambridgeshire-based plastics recycling specialist Plasgran has opened a new technical development centre.
The facility, which will be housed right next to their compounding facilities will bring the technical and operational teams together under one roof for the first time.
It will house the firm's existing testing and analytical equipment, including a new 22T BOY injection moulding machine, universal flexural and tensile testing machine, moisture analyser and new pilot film blowing line.
Managing director Mark Roberts said: “We are committed to continuing the long term program of investment in the business which is designed to allow us to meet even the most complex of technical challenges and to further bolster our capability to deliver the very best in plastics recycling service and supply.
“This latest enhancement to our facilities is just another point along our route to becoming the foremost plastics recycler in the country.”
Last month, the firm unveiled the new commercial offering of a recycling service for rotationally-moulded products and its move into the municipal wheelie bin market.
