Next Generation Recycling Machines Inc. (NGR) relocated its customer service and test centre to a larger facility in Atlanta, Ga., to showcase more machinery and be closer to the international airport.

The sales organization for Feldkirchen, Austria-based Next Generation Recycling Maschinen GmbH tripled its space and next year will add a cutter-compactor-combination recycling line (C:GRAN brand).

The NGR center will operate recycling machines on production scale for post-industrial and post-consumer applications and markets with a focus on the latter, according to NGR President Peter Schneider.

“Customers can recycle their materials in scheduled test runs on various extruder, filtration and pelletizer configurations. From there they can re-introduce the recycled pellets into their production processes and evaluate the success,” Schneider said in a news release.

NGR staff will take advantage of the center’s proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), he added.

“We pick up our customers at the airport and minutes later they can see their materials running on our machines. It does not get any easier than this,“ Schneider said.

All sales activity will be handled at the new center. NGR most recently saw annual sales of more than $58.8 million (€50 million), the release says.

NGR's new center also will have more room for spare parts and service team members.

“Competition for talent made it specifically during Covid-19 necessary to offer an attractive work environment. With the new location we tripled our footprint for offices and our technical center, and we are offering flexible work arrangements,” Schneider said.

The cutter-compactor-combination recycling line will be added to the test center in May 2022 as part of the focus on post-consumer applications. The system prepares flakes and films with residual moisture up to 25 percent at an output rate up to 5,500 pounds per hour (2,500 kilograms per hour).

Customers will be able to process and test their post-consumer materials on this additional lab machine by June 2022.

Founded in 1996, NGR has 140 employees at its headquarters and three sales and service facilities in the U.S., China and Malaysia.
