Dow and Guangdong Delian Group Co., Ltd. have announced they are joining forces to boost the use of recycled materials in the automotive industry. To that end, the companies entered into a (MoU) at the 7th China International Import Expo. This collaboration aims to promote a circular economy by increasing the application of post-consumer recycled (PCR) resins in automotive products, reducing the industry’s reliance on virgin materials.
Delian Group has integrated Dow's Revoloop Recycled Plastics Resins into their auto care product packaging - the first commercial application of these resins in the auto care market.
The partnership represents a significant step for Dow's "Transform the Waste" initiative. The collaboration aims not only to enhance the packaging application of post-consumer recycled resins in the automotive market but also to drive innovation that will redefine waste as a valuable resource.
This was further underscored by Bambang Candra, Asia Pacific commercial vice president of Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics, who highlighted the importance of sustainable materials in facing climate challenges and resource scarcity. He emphasised Dow’s dedication to expanding innovative recycling solutions and achieving a circular economy through partnerships like the one with Delian Group.
“We are honoured to collaborate with Delian Group to advance the commercial application of Revoloop in the automotive sector,” he said.
For Delian Group, this is a strategic alliance that, next to affirming the company’s commitment to energy conservation and low carbon emissions, also sets it apart.
”We have been adhering to the business philosophy of energy conservation, emission reduction and a low-carbon environment'," said Xu Tuanhua, Chairman of Delian Group. "The strategic partnership with Dow marks significant progress toward a circular economy, further distinguishing Delian Group from competitors in the automotive market and helping us meet the growing global demand for sustainable products."
