The annual polymers producers assessment, which returned this year after a brief hiatus last year has yielded a fresh crop of winners. An initiative of the Polymers for Europe Alliance, a platform founded by the European Plastics Converters association (EuPC) at its General Assembly in May 2015, the assessment is an annual rating given by converters and other polymer users to their suppliers on their performance over the previous year.
This year's edition focused on the following criteria: delivery reliability, circularity, quality, communication, innovation and - the key criterion - commitment to the European Market.
The results and the winners were announced at a 23 May Awards Ceremony that took place during the gala dinner held at the A Circular Future with Plastics conference in Lyon, France, with Lithuania-based Neo Group emerging as the winner of the overall Commitment to the European Market. award, as well as coming out top in the PET category, with a score of 88%.
The number of converters participating in this year’s assessment reached an all-time high, according to Ron Marsh, chairman of the Alliance.
“Our congratulations go out to Neo Group, the one who won the overall award for commitment to the European Market, and to all the other well-deserved winners”, he said.
