Four Recovinyl-accredited PVC recyclers will be exhibiting for the first time at a British Plastics Federation (BPF) seminar on 2 October in support of the UK's PVC industry.
The recycling companies – PVC Recycling, vinyl flooring manufacturer Polyflor, Veka Recycling and plastics recycler UKBF – will be showcasing applications for recycled PVC at the event to be held at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.
Among the expert speakers at ‘PVC – The Positive Sustainable Procurement Choice' will be Stefan Eingartner, a consultant for VinylPlus, and Francois Clement, assistant principal at architects Populous.
Philip Law, BPF public and industrial affairs director, said: “The BPF's Vinyls Group seminar will present the leading edge of PVC sustainability and we are delighted that considerable added value will be provided by an adjoining exhibition which will focus on the major recycling achievements accomplished under the Recovinyl banner.”
Jane Gardner, senior consultant at Axion Consulting, who will also be speaking, added: “With demand growing for greater recycled content in new PVC products, Recovinyl recyclers have a key role to play in supplying these markets.
“This event presents a valuable opportunity for specifiers to find out more about exciting developments in the re-use of PVC and its sustainable procurement across a wide variety of applications.”
