Maag Group has announced its acquisition on 2 May of French tool manufacturer AMN DPI. With this latest acquisition, Maag has taken the next step on the path towards its aim of becoming an globally-positioned integrated supplier for systems in the plastics industry through a strategy of consistent growth through acquisition. The Maag Group is a broadly diversified solutions provider with integrated and customisable systems in process technology for a diversity of industries

AMN, a French company founded in 1979 in Normandy, is a developer and manufacturer of polymer pelletizing dies and die plates. It acquisition brings a wide range of know-how to the Maag Group in both the processing and the extrusion and recycling industries, as well expertise in biodegradable highly filled recycling materials. AMN is primarily active in the European market.

Ueli Thürig, President of the MAAG Group said that the acquisition represented a further step towards even greater customer centricity. “Toolmaking for granulators and systems can now be carried out completely in-house. This increases the availability and delivery reliability of Maag products, and production times are reduced."

AMN's die plate production also increases Maag's service thanks to increased support options for continuous operation at the customer's site.

The Maag Group is a business unit of Pumps & Process Solutions, a segment of the Dover Corporation that currently employs over 1,100 people at production sites in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, the USA, and China. The Group also has sales and service centres in France, Malaysia, India, Thailand and Brazil.
