LK Machinery, a China-based manufacturer of high-performance injection moulding machines is expanding into the German market. The Chinese machine manufacturer’s European subsidiary, LK IMM Europe s.r.l., in Travagliato, Italy signed a collaboration agreement with Bexte Kunststoff-Technik (BKT), who will distribute, commission and service the injection moulding machines in the German market.
Manufactured in Ningbo and Zhongshan, the machines destined for the European market are also equipped with European-made process-relevant measuring and control technology. This includes Keba control technology, hydraulic pump technology sourced from Germany and remote maintenance via KePlast EasyNet 4.
The agreement covers the models with the greatest sales potential in the European market, among which the servo-hydraulic toggle Potenza series, available in clamping forces from 800 to 10,000 kN, the all-electric Elettrica, available in clamping forces of 1,000 to 6,800 kN and the high-speed Lena-HS (2,000 to 4,000 KN). The latter machine is particularly suited for mass production of parts for the packaging industry, for medical devices and pharmaceutical components.
"By K 2022, we will have further expanded our presence in Europe, following the BKT model, and defined the European sales and service network more closely in order to also intensify business with multinational companies," said Luigi Tondi, Sales & Business Development Director of LK IMM Europe. The company will be running three machines at its stand in Hall 13 (B45) this year at K, including a 5,500 kN Forza, featuring the new two-platen clamping system.
The agreement was signed at this year’s recently held Kuteno fair in northern Germany. The fair brought another success: the sale of an LK Potenza injection moulding machine with a clamping force of 1,300 kN to SK Industriemodell GmbH, a German moulder based in Übach-Palenberg. The company based its choice on machine characteristics such as minimal deflection, low mould wear and user-friendly functions, said Sebastian Krell, Managing Director of SK Industriemodell
Delivery is scheduled for August 2022, following official acceptance at BKT, Essen.
