Plastics machinery manufacturer KraussMaffei Group GmbH has announced the temporary closure of its Munich, Treuchtlingen, Hannover and Schwaig plants. The company is also shutting down operations at the site at Sucany, in Slovakia.
The temporary measure will in all likelihood apply for three weeks, ie.e., through week 16 and does not include the Netstal plant - now known as KraussMaffei High Performance - in Näfels (Switzerland). That plant is open and still in operation.
Throughout this period of closure, all production, assembly and delivery of the completed machines will be halted at the sites in question. Delays in delivery are therefore unavoidable. However, the company says it has established an emergency service.
KraussMaffei stresses that meanwhile, business will continue normally as far as possible as all contact persons are available, spare parts delivery is guaranteed, the retrofit area is accessible and both the project planning and sales continue to operate ‘from the home office.’
