Kiefel GmbH, a manufacturer of machinery for processing plastics, bio-based materials and natural fibres, has named Andreas Staudinger as its new Global Director of Packaging.
Kiefel's packaging division, a leading expert in thermoforming and joining technology, was for decades under the leadership of Erwin Wabnig, who has now retired. The transition took place at the turn of the year.
Staudinger is an experienced manager, with years of experience under his belt. Previously he headed the Automotive Division, the Supply Chain and overall production at Kiefel.
In his new role of Global Director of Packaging, Staudinger will focus specifically on advancing fibre thermoforming and further strengthening the company's market position for packaging systems, tools and automation. He will also work to expand the material expertise available at the company.
"Our next goal is to market our extensive range of machine solutions for polymer, bio-based, as well as new materials such as natural fibres more widely," he said.
