A collaboration between Gneuss and Colines has resulted in the development of special cast & blown film extrusion technology for handling recycled material. Based on the combination of Coline’s highly automated extrusion process and Gneuss’ RSFgenius Melt Filtration System, the process allows manufacturers of stretch film to incorporate recycled content into their products. Colines has already proven this process with the production of 10 µm stretch film with up to 40 % recycled content, the company reports. More information is available at the stands of the two companies at the upcoming K fair.
There, Colines (hall 16, A39) is showcasing this latest generation of its cast line for stretch film. The line at K is equipped with the proprietary new Mastermind system, enabling the automatic set-up of the extrusion line. The line will be running daily.
The advantage of the Gneuss RSFgenius Melt Filtration System is its capacity to provide constant melt pressure - a major benefit when processing recycled material. Designed with an integrated back-flushing system for self-cleaning, the fully automatic RSFgenius makes continuous production without disruption possible. An RSFgenius 250 will be on display at Gneuss’ stand (hall 9, A22) at K 2022.
Potential customers are also welcome to run trials with their material at Colines’ technical centre to test the technology for themselves.
