Austrian plastics recycling machinery manufacturer Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen (NGR) announced Josef Hochreiter is regaining control of its operational management.
Hochreiter is the CEO of NGR’s parent company Next Generation Group. He previously led NGR for 12 years until May 2020, when Wolfgang Steinwender was appointed CEO. Steinwender was replaced by Gerhard Ohler in August 2022, who is now being replaced by Hochreiter.
Ohler will be leaving the Feldkirchen-based recycling machine manufacturer. NGR said the change in management is due to ‘different views on the further development of the company’.
"I would like to thank Gerhard Ohler for his commitment and achievements at NGR,” Hochreiter said. “Different views on the further development of the company have prompted us to take this step. I will therefore take on responsibility and help shape the future of NGR together with our strong team. Our mission of developing innovative plastic recycling solutions for a sustainable future remains unchanged,” he added.
Ohler had previously held management roles at Greiner Extrusion Group in Austria and KraussMaffei in Shanghai.
Hochreiter will retain his position as CEO of the Next Generation Group in order to oversee the strategic direction of the entire group of companies, NGR said in a statement.
