An Isle of Man beach cleaning project got a boost from Japanese sculptor Sayaka Ganz, who makes model animals from waste plastic.
The international renowned artist, who will be exhibiting her work at the Isle Gallery in St John's until 14 June, worked alongside volunteers on 15 May collecting rubbish from the island's beaches and seafronts.
Ganz makes her animals with “objects that have been used and discarded. My goal is for each object to transcend its origin by being integrated into animal or organic forms that are alive and in motion."
Some of the items she collected will be used for a special commission.
