IVK Europe, the European Industrial Association for Plastics Films and Sheets has appointed Marina Arz as its new Managing Director of IVK Europe, effective 1 April 2021.
Marina previously worked on the European Commission’s Chief Economist Team within Directorate-General GROW in 2018. She then joined the German Federal Parliament in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as an advisor on European affairs and domestic policy.
She has succeeded Karin Arz, who has now retired from IVK Europe, after 21 years of serving the interests of the thermoplastic converting industry in Europe.
Marina said she is looking forward to addressing the ongoing challenges of the sector, such as plastic waste issues, as well as demonstrating the positive contribution plastic materials can make to society.
“With IVK Europe’s involvement in the work of the Circular Plastics Alliance, we will contribute in a responsible and sustainable way to the targets of this European initiative,” she stated.
IVK Europe has 19 company members who produce sheets made of plastic and rubber for a multitude of applications. Its focus is on defending the interests of PVC and its substitutes.IVK Europe actively supports the work of the Circular Plastics Alliance and works closely together with VinylPlus, the Voluntary Commitment for sustainable development of the European PVC industry.
