Waste management company Interzero, headquartered in Germany and specialised in closed-loop, circular solutions and plastics recycling, has appointed Jan Kroker as interim CEO of its Interzero Plastics Recycling (IPR) segment. In a more permanent role, he will also lead Interzero's battery recycling business, which is currently being set up.
Kroker is replacing Florian Werner, who became CEO of IPR in November 2022 and who has now left the company by mutual agreement. Dr Axel Schweitzer, chairman and shareholder of Interzero, and the Interzero management team thanked Werner for his commitment and contribution.
Jan Kroker previously worked as director of site management and deputy managing director for BASF Polyurethanes GmbH in Lemförde. He began his professional career as an officer in the German armed forces. On entering the business world, he served at KCA Deutag in the oil field service industry and in the chemical industry at BASF Management Consulting, BASF's global in-house management consultancy, assuming management responsibilities in these roles.
As Interim CEO, Jan Kroker will support the IPR management team during an intensive and important phase of strategy and organisational development.
