Willich-based FKuR is exhibiting this year under the slogan ‘Keeping carbon in the cycle’, referring to that company’s broad assortment of recyclates, customised recyclate compounds and biobased plastics for injection moulding and extrusion. Amongst the products on show are a bio-based, recyclable customised Green PE compound, used by TicToys to produce their creative construction game Binabo; and the polypropylene-based hybrid compounds marketed under FKuR’s Terralene rPP brand combining the ecological advantages of using recyclates and bio-based raw materials with 100% recyclability.
Depending on the product grade, the recyclate content from post-consumer waste streams ranges from 30% to 60%. The bio-based share can reach up to 33%. The Terralene®rPP drop-in product range can be used in a wide variety of applications due to its good flowability and the natural or white colour of the granules. However, applications are currently still limited to the non-food sector.
The company will also be showcasing its Macolen R extended portfolio of recycled materials comprised of customer-specific compounds and standard formulations based on post-consumer recyclates. All grades are characterised by low odour and consistently high quality, while at the same time meeting demanding requirements in terms of technical properties.
In addition, the company Gear Motion, part of KAP Precision Components, will be injection moulding FKuR’s bio-based, recyclable bioplastic Terralene PP 3505 live at the wvib booth (Hall B2 - Booth 2204).
