Eriez Magnetics Europe showcased at RWM a range of its eddy current separators which are suitable for PET flake applications, separating valuable non-ferrous metals from waste.
Operating at the show was the RevX-E ST22 model, for separation of fines smaller than 10mm. Its specially designed, ultra-thin rotor shell offers a near to 20% greater throw for aluminium fines. Companies were invited to bring along their samples to the show to see how efficiently the RevX-E separated them.
For the separation of all metals from particle flakes and recycled plastics, visitors to the firm's stand learnt more about the Tri-Sep station, a complete standalone module featuring an Eriez EZ Tec 9100 metal detector, PM Grate Magnet, electro-mechanical vibratory feeder and a pneumatic reject system, which accurately monitors and removes ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel contamination from recycled material.
It is used to produce high grade PET flakes and granulated plastics with the Eriez vibratory feeder and magnetic grate, removing the fine ferrous content before it reaches the metal separator.
