Erema is launching the ReadyMac 500 "Heavy Duty" (HD) version, an upgrade to its standard recycling machine, at PRSE.
The new model integrates Erema’s advanced Laserfilter technology, enabling it to efficiently process heavily contaminated post-consumer plastic waste. It has a processing capacity of 500 kilograms per hour.
Available from April 1 at a fixed price of €440,000, the ReadyMac 500 HD expands the Austrian machinery manufacturer’s offerings to meet growing industry demand for high-performance recycling solutions.
Enhanced filtration for challenging waste streams
A key highlight of the ReadyMac 500 HD is its integration of Erema’s Laserfilter system, which enhances filtration performance when dealing with contaminated plastic waste. The filtration technology effectively removes impurities such as paper, wood, aluminium, and foreign polymers from the plastic melt, ensuring high-quality output. The Laserfilter is equipped with a continuous self-cleaning scraper system, optimising efficiency, and reducing downtime.
“The updated ReadyMac has hit the mark in terms of market requirements and has exceeded our expectations, especially given the current economic environment,” said Michael Köhnhofer, head of the ReadyMac business unit at Erema. “By offering this version with our Laserfilter, we are giving recyclers a more powerful tool to process complex post-consumer materials efficiently.”
For customers with different processing needs, Erema continues to offer the standard ReadyMac 500 with the SW RTF screen changer system, priced at €375,000. This provides businesses with the flexibility to select the optimal filtration system for their recycling operations.
Affordable entry into post-consumer recycling
Designed for cost-conscious recycling companies that do not require fully customised systems, the ReadyMac 500 HD is marketed as an ideal solution for businesses entering the post-consumer recycling market. With a processing capacity of 500 kilograms per hour, the machine offers an attractive price-performance ratio, making it accessible to a wider range of recyclers, Erema said in a statement.
The ReadyMac 500 also features Erema’s well-established TVE technology, ensuring efficient degassing after filtration for higher quality material. Erema also backs its equipment with comprehensive global service, including spare parts supply, professional commissioning, and extensive training options.
