Following in the footsteps of a host of industry colleagues, Domo Chemicals has announced that it, too, will not actively participate in Fakuma 2020, scheduled to take place in Friedrichshafen, Germany in October.
The company plans to set up an onsite contact desk at the event. It will also organise a digital event focusing on its expanded solutions portfolio and updated business strategy, during which its new complementary offering of PA6 and PA66 based engineering plastics will be introduced.
The event will offer further details on Domo’s updated company strategy following the closure of the Solvay Engineering Plastics business in February 2020.
Customers and partners will be updated on the timing of this event in the coming weeks.
Domo said in its statement that it regretted having to minimise its participation in the trade show – “It is the world’s leading technical event for industrial plastics processing, and always serves as a great platform to present our products and services,” said Ludovic Tonnerre, Vice President Engineering Plastics at Domo.
“However, we believe that there is too much uncertainty around a possible second coronavirus wave. We cannot risk the health and well-being of our employees and customers. Furthermore, we do not believe that a satisfactory trade show experience can be guaranteed due to the very strict hygiene and safety measures that will need to be implemented at the event.”
As a customer-centric company, the Domo sales and technical services teams will continue to operate in close connection with its customers. This includes the organization of dedicated face-to-face meetings, where all necessary safety measures can be guaranteed.
