Following the merger of the two companies Coperion and Herbold Meckesheim, both will now be showcasing their exhibits at Booth 6312 in Hall A6. The two are presenting a range of product and process solutions aimed at boosting the efficiency of both the plastics compounding and recycling processes, while increasing the product quality achieved. One eyecatcher at Fakuma is the preconfigured ProRate Plus-S feeder, illustrating Coperion’s comprehensive technology and process expertise in all compounding tasks. This continuous-operation gravimetric feeder from Coperion K-Tron is an especially economical solution for reliably feeding free-flowing bulk materials. Coperion K-Tron has also expanded the ProRate PLUS feeder line with a PLUS-MT twin screw feeder especially for feeding powders.
From raw material handling to conveying, feeding, melting, dispersing, homogenising and devolatilising up to pelletising, Coperion delivers high-efficiency individual components as well as complete systems. Visitors to the booth will also see a virtual PET recycling plant that demonstrates the added value Herbold Meckesheim, a specialist in mechanical recycling of plastics and plastic waste, brought to the merger. The virtual plant offers a complete solution for plastics recycling – now all from a single source. Coperion and Herbold Meckesheim build solutions for the mechanical recycling of post-industrial and post-consumer waste, chemical recycling, solvent-based recycling, and deodorisation, tailored to the type of plastic being processed. From mechanical processing – size reduction, washing, separating, drying and agglomerating of plastics – to bulk material handling as well as feeding and extrusion all the way to compounding and pelletising, such plants cover the entire plastics recycling process chain.
Herbold Meckesheim’s granulators, featuring true double cross cutting action will also be on display, while Coperion will also be presenting versatile and efficient uses for its ZSK and STS twin screw extruders.
