Film stretching machinery builder Brückner Maschinenbau will be at NPE2024 with developments for technical and packaging applications.
For manufacturing technical films, the company has new solutions for:
• Battery separator films, including line concepts and machine components for higher energy efficiency, lower production costs and consistent film quality.
• Composite current collector films, such as advancements in stretching technologies that highlight the benefits of downgauging, weight reduction, minimized metal usage, enhanced safety and superior energy density per cell.
• Capacitor films for sequential and simultaneous stretching processes to manufacture ultrathin, high-temperature films and high-energy density films for green energy and mobility applications.
• Newly developed PFAS-free membrane film manufacturing technologies.
• Semi-industrial and compact machines designed for manufacturing a range of technical and packaging films.
For packaging film manufacturers, developments were focused on efficiency, sustainability and circularity of the production process.
These developments include:
• Efficient and fast high-output lines for low energy consumption in film production of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP), biaxially oriented PET (BOPET) and biaxially oriented nylon (BOPA).
• Technologies for bio-based and biodegradable biaxially stretched packaging films, such as those made of PLA/PHA.
• Monomaterial solutions to close the life cycle of BOPP, BOPET and BOPE plastic packaging, including unique BOPE/BOPP hybrid lines allowing film manufacturers to react swiftly and flexible to market trends.
• Simultaneous stretching techniques for modern polypropylene retort films, labels and diverse packaging solutions.
Also, new features have been added to the web-based Brückner One-brand digital service platform. There are new modules for the help center and e-learning to support film manufacturers. New maintenance, production and analytics modules will be available for preview.
In addition, Brückner Servtec will present its new local service solution related to its certification for refurbishing the FOK 8.8 high-speed sliding chain system.
"With this extension, the latest clip and chain system can be professionally overhauled at the established refurbishment workshop," which is in Portsmouth, N.H., where Brückner Group USA is based.
The company website says the "unique expertise at the workshop for clip and chain refurbishment, as well as free parts inspection, minimize downtime and ensure maximum availability of the film production lines."
