The British Plastics Federation (BPF) is hosting an online, half-day seminar on 12 May called ‘Reusable Plastics Packaging’, featuring presentations on topics including consumer behaviour and the circular economy, as well as key case studies.
The presentations will include an overview of the latest developments in reusable plastics packaging as well as a discussion on how to influence longer-term consumer behaviour change.
Also speakers from the University of Sheffield will present their latest findings and talk about their work on their ‘living lab’, trialling reusable cups and bowls in university cafes.
Louise McGregor, head of customer service and support at Zero Waste Scotland, will provide the audience with an exploration of how Zero Waste Scotland perceives the role of reuse in achieving a circular economy, while Stephen Clarke, head of communications at Terracycle and Loop Europe, will provide an update on the latest developments and progress in the Loop system.
In the final session, Safia Qureshi, managing director at Club Zero, will provide a real-world example of a packaging company using a reusable plastics packaging solution.
‘Reusable Plastics Packaging’ will run from 13.30 to 17.00 on 12 May. Full details of this online seminar can be found at bpf.co.uk
