Another industry event has elected to go online for 2020.
Originally scheduled to be held in September 2020, the Taipei International Plastics & Rubber Industry Show – TaipeiPLAS - has been postponed to 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The organisers are now instead staging a virtual event that will kickoff on 21 September.
TaipeiPLAS Digital Week will offer a series of online and offline activities designed to bring participants up to speed on the latest market trends, innovative technological developments and new products.
The activities will include an online CEO panel, hosted by Walter M. S. Yeh, president & CEO of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) in which a number of plastics and rubber industry and manufacturing experts will participate.
The afternoons will feature online talks and interviews with exhibitors from either the TaipeiPlas show or from ShoeTech Taipei, which was scheduled to run at the same time.
Starting 22 September 22, on six consecutive days selected videos featuring new products will be broadcast at 3 pm Taiwan time at PLASpotlight.
The event will conclude with an international industry meet and match for buyers and sellers to get together virtually to do business. The TTS Match is scheduled for 29 September and is targeted at customers for plastic and rubber machinery, injection moulding machinery, moulds & dies, raw materials, semi-finished & finished products, and more.
The event is organised by TAITRA and by the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry TAMI.
All programmes may be viewed at the Taiwan tradeshows Youtube channel.
