RecyClass is a platform that works on advancing plastics’ packaging recyclability. It allows converters and brand owners to exchange their best practices and have their packaging tested against compatibility with existing plastic waste streams. RecyClass is one of the key platforms that assesses recyclability according to scientific based evidence to develop and consistently update design for recycling guidelines. It consists of a free online tool for converters, marketeers, packaging designers and brand owners to assess recyclability of their products. Today the platform consists of over 30 members representing a large share of the worldwide market of brands active in the plastic packaging sector. Today, Paolo Glerean will demonstrate the modus operandi of RecyClass and explain the methodologies on which this initiative is based.
