Looking to expand its range of tailor-made plastic recycling solutions for in-house applications, Austrian recycling machinery maker Erema has taken a majority holding in Plasmac Srl, an Italian recycling machine maker and member company of the Syncro Group. Syncro, which specialises in the production of equipment for the blown film industry, has retained the remaining 40% of shares.
Although previously based in Aylesbury, England, the Syncro Group relocated Plasmac to Busto Arsizio (Italy) in June 2018. Plasmac Srl was established in January 2019, with Gabriele Caccia, CEO of the Syncro Group, named as the new CEO of Plasmac Srl.
Plasmac has comprehensive expertise in edge trim recycling and with its Alpha direct feed extruder and Omega shredder-extruder system offers solutions for throughputs of up to 250 kg/h. This range is supplemented by the Powerfeed edge trim transport system.
As Manfred Hackl, CEO of the Erema Group, explained: "These machines and components expand our product range of systems for straightforward standard applications in the in-house segment, which is very important to us."
