US plastics recycler Green Line Polymers, part of Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS), has recently installed the largest recycling machine made by NGR, it was announced 30 April.
According to the Austrian machinery supplier, the machine is capable of recycling over 4,000 pounds, or some 1800 kilos, per hour of plastics scrap materials in a variety of forms.
The X:GRAN machine, which was installed at Green Line's Pandora, Ohio factory, will recycle high volumes of post-industrial PE scrap materials, which are wastes from ADS pipe production lines.
The resin will then be used as a raw material building block for the next generation of ADS corrugated piping products and water management solutions (WMS), NGR said.
With eight facilities across the US, Green Line Polymers is one of the largest recyclers of polymer products in North America.
ADS is a manufacturer of high performance thermoplastic corrugated pipe and ancillary products, providing a suite of water management products and drainage solutions for use in the construction and infrastructure marketplace.
NGR, based in Feldkirchen, Austria, has delivered 1000 plastics recycling lines, with its “one-step technology” which utilises a shredder-feeder-extruder combination.
This ensures high energy efficiency while minimising equipment footprint and reducing material handling steps.
NGR operates a technical centre near Atlanta, Georgia along with a full-scale recycling line available for customer testing and trials.
