Hubbub, a UK environment charity, has launched what it claims to be the world's first recycled plastic punt, dubbed Poly-Mer.
The charity, which organises environmental campaigns, has been holding “plastic fishing” trips as part of its anti-marine litter campaign and said that the boat, which has been made from the collected litter, will be used to run such trips in the waters around London's Docklands.
The collected plastics will be used to make more boats to help clean the waterways.
The idea of plastic fishing trips and later on closing the loop with a boat came from Canary Wharf College.
