At K 2016, leading granulator companies Rapid and Getecha are showing new and advanced technologies.
Rapid Granulator (Hall 9 Stand E19) is unveiling the Raptor series of plastics granulators. These have modular units and feature an “open-hearted” design that makes the Raptor “super-easy to operate, service and clean,” said Bengt Rimark, Rapid's global sales and marketing director.
Rapid offers 36 base configurations of the Raptor in order to handle various customer applications. The modular systems feature two diameters and two widths (800 mm and 1,350 mm).
There are two system designs for pushing material into the rotor, FlexiPush and PowerPush. The PowerPush is available with an extended pusher length and there are also three cutting systems: Quad Cut, Claw, and Power Wedge.
Getecha (Hall 9 Stand A21) is showing RS 45090 from the latest generation of the large hopper granulator series RS 45000.
The RS 45090 can be fed from three sides with an additional bypass hopper attached on the side for feeding tubing and profiles from extrusion as well as with another bypass hopper at the rear for the plate material feed. For the user this means that only one granulator is needed instead of three.
Enabling optimisation, in addition to the high overall stability of the granulator, is a powerful 3-blade rotor and the use of two stator blades in the milling device.
