Two major developers of plastics recycling systems will discuss new technology during the K 2016 fair next month.
Austria-based Erema (Hall 9 Stand C05) said that, building on the success of its Intarema recycling system launched at K 2013, it has developed a Smart Factory offering which it is discussing under the theme of “careformance” at this year's show.
The automated Intarema system sits at the heart of this package. Added to this is the QualityOn package, which can be used in future to record and evaluate melt volume rate, colour and moisture.
Also new is Re360, a sophisticated manufacturing execution system for keeping track of the productivity of an entire range of machinery in five modules. Re360 gives an overview of the capacities/stoppage times of the systems for management, documents key quality data of the recyclates for the location manager and informs the operator about upcoming maintenance jobs.
Tomra Sorting Recycling (Hall 11 Stand F17), based in Germany, has launched Autosort Flake which allows for simultaneous triple-sorting of recycled PET flake.
Autosort Flake provides high-precision sorting by colour and material information to enhance the recovery of high-quality recycled products.
The company highlighted the sensor technology which also detects metal, and says due its twin-processing mode customers are offered the best possible waste throughput together with a constant high-calibre output.
