With plans to raise its domestic and export sales, Turkish producer Enka Polimer is aiming to raise the output capacity of its production facility which is fitted with a total floorspace of about 18,400 square metres, reports local business daily Dünya.
The amount of the investment was not disclosed by the firm.
Enka Polimer operates a plant in the country's Kayseri organised industrial zone, in Turkey's central part. The firm's product range consists of a wide range of plastic bags, cables, pipes, buckets and other products. Enka Polimer makes its output with the use of various plastics, including PE and PP.
The Turkish manufacturer is owned by local businessman Ayhan Çatalkaya who also serves as its chief executive. Enka Polimer's owner says the investment is related to plans to significantly increase the firm's production capacity and export sales.
"We export to countries such as Morocco and Azerbaijan. Exports represent a 25% share of our production and sales, and we plan to increase both our output capacity and exports," Çatalkaya said.
Set up in January 2010, Enka Polimer is operated by a workforce of some 15, according to data from the firm. Its production facility is ISO 9001 and TS 18001 certified.
Kayseri is located more than 300km from the country's capital Ankara.
