CSM has rebranded the company, including subsidiaries Purac and Caravan Ingredients, as Corbion.
CEO Gerard Hoetmer said the rebranding comes as the company is making a concerted effort to focus on bio-based products, accelerating growth in bio-based chemicals.
The company is aiming for biochemical sales growth of 15-20% over the 2013-2016 period, boosted by growth in the lactides market. The overall company growth target is 6-9% CAGR.
The company is also planning to expand lactic acid capacity in 2014-2015.
