Austrian maker of recycling machinery Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen (NGR) has opened a sales office in Taipei, Taiwan.
The office will be managed by Martin Hehenberger.
The firm says it chose Taiwan because of the growth of the Taiwanese plastics industry over the past few decades.
In addition, the increasing costs of resins in the market means plastics waste is a valuble resource.
“Plastic post-consumer waste now more often finds its way to professional recycling-companies for re-pelletizing, instead of being incinerated or dumped on landfills,” says the company. “More and more Taiwanese manufacturers are appreciating the value gain from these rather new technologies.”
