A student at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences in Germany has used NatureFlex film from Innovia to create a crisp packet which promotes sustainability.
Sabine Zits used metallised and clear NautreFlex films, which are made using a base of wood pulp. According to Innovia, the films have inherent deadfold and anti-static properties, high gloss and resistance to grease and oil, good barrier to gases, aromas and mineral oils and a wide heat-seal range.
Zits worked with Intersnack, a German crisp brand owner, to make the packets. They were laminated by Allflex and printed at the University of Stuttgart.
The packs were displayed at an exhibition of all the undergraduates' project work in Aachen.
