Austria-based maker of recycling equipment Starlinger has opened an office in Surabaya, Indonesia, to improve sales across South-East Asia.
The new company – known as PT Starlinger SEA – will sell machinery for both plastics and textile packaging, and the team will be led by Hengky Senjaya.
Starlinger says it chose Indonesia because of South-East Asia's strong market growth. For example, 95% of all agricultural products destined for the local markets are transported in woven plastic bags, says the firm.
